Individual and Family Counseling

We offer a variety of counseling and therapy supports to the individual and family as a means to help people achieve their wellness goals. Our team of psychotherapists hold certifications and integrate the following methods into their clinical practice:  Mindfullness-Based Family Play Therapy (MBPFT), Registered Play Therapy, Music Therapy, Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI), Son-Rise, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and much more..

Our counseling services are rooted in a Mindfullness-Based Family Play Therapy model that holds the following beliefs: Therapy is most effective in a family context parent/caregiver education and awareness of issues supports the success of individual's therapeutic experiences. Utilization of right-brain approaches to therapy such as play therapy (for children) and the use of sand tray (for children and adults) offer unique experiences to communicate emotions and heal trauma .

Additionally, our team of psychotherapists maintain an advanced understanding about the impact disabilities has on individuals and families. While there is an array of behavior therapies, speech therapies, and occupational therapies targeting individuals with these challenges, very few therapists have a background in the unique dynamics that a family member with a disability experiences and the impact that caring and supporting that individual has on siblings, parents, guardians, and caregivers. Our team utilizes evidenced-based approaches such as MBFT, music therapy, and sand tray as a way to increase people's abilities to process their life experiences, experience their emotions in a supportive environment, and heal.

Taking the first step to seek support comes easy to some and harder to others. We offer an opportunity to share your situation and see if our counseling services may benefit you and/or your family. Complete the "Request an Appointment" form below to learn more about our services.
